The foundation is a state non-profit making organization, one of the three state research funds established with Moscow government’s enactment number 65 of February 3 1994. In accordance with the decision of the Government of Russian Federation the foundation gets 1.5 percent of the federal budget for science.

	Mid-Atlantic-Russia Business Council MARBC is a major non-profit organization in the Mid-Atlantic region that provides information about and services related to Russia and the CIS.
